Each year during the month of August, hundreds of Leopard sharks converge in the shallow waters just off the beach at La Jolla Shores in Southern California to spawn. It is quite an amazing experience to see these graceful creatures moving about with your own eyes. I would highly recommend the experience to all who live in the area. This video was taken in 4 - 6 feet of water about 30 feet from the beach. The video starts off a bit murky, but clears up as we swim further offshore. Reports estimated that there were between 800 and 1,000 of these sharks in the area over the weekend.
